FIT FACTORY has been a work in progress over the past 16 years. Gene Click, the founder of FIT FACTORY began his journey into fitness at the young age of 17. Click began his martial arts journey at the young age of 5. Although very active, he could not escape the slow metabolism and the temptation of Grandma’s great food. This combination lead to being an overweight child his whole life.

At the Age of 17, Click began competing in Kickboxing. His instructor at the time thought it would be smart to him to compete at a lower weight division than 310 pounds so he decided to start dieting. Soon after this he became fascinated with the idea of losing weight. Actually obsessed is a better word! One year later he went from 310 pounds to 179 but developed an obsession rather than passion for fitness.

After one year of being intimidated of joining a gym, he was an employee! Working out became an unbalanced obsession. Most training sessions would last over 4 hours with NO days off. Click had realized that he had become unhealthy as a result of the constant over training.

*I know all to well the battles of changing your health! It’s important to me to lead from the front for all of my members!
Stress, diet and life in general caught up with me and my health was in jeopardy. Fortunately I had the support of my family and members to encourage me to get back on track! It’s not easy but it’s worth it! 70 pounds later! Knowledge is one thing.. application is a completely different story! You have to WANT IT!*

It was at this time that Click developed a passion for training others. After several years of teaching and running martial arts programs, he decided that being a trainer was his path. Shortly after this time, Click became a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist and Certified Personal Trainer.

In 1999 he moved to Sevierville, TN to work in a large fitness facility. This was a rewarding time as it allowed him to establish himself as one of the leading authorities for fitness and martial arts in the area! After 4 years of being a self-employed trainer within this facility, Click decided it was time to follow his passion. To have his own private training facility!

In 2003, Click took a chance and opened his doors for the first time. The only problem is that his desire to teach Martial Arts had been put on hold. The size of the facility just didn’t support large groups. One year later, the gym grew to a facility twice in size and the ability to teach small martial arts groups developed!

Fast forward two years. After some long thought about the future of the gym, Click decided to move locations to Boyd’s Creek Highway. 90% of his clients at the time resided there and it only made sense. So the change was made and the name became FIT FACTORY!

FIT FACTORY had become more than a personal training studio. Now that Click has the ability to teach Kickboxing, Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, MMA, Weight loss, Personal Training, Strength Training, Wellness, and much more. FIT FACTORY is more than a personal training facility. It’s a lifestyle facility that changes lives!

3 years into the FIT FACTORY another decision had to be made. It was time to expand… again! Luckily we were able to find a larger location just up the street on Boyd’s Creek! What started out in 2003 with a 900 square foot room has become a state of the art training business with over 5,000 square feet!

The FIT FACTORY is more than a gym. It’s more than a Martial Arts school. It’s a gathering of good people who all want better for themselves. Everyone wants to be happy, healthy and friendships! The FIT FACTORY gives everyone this opportunity with the accountability that’s required at times!

Please take a look at our programs as I’m sure you will find something exciting that we can help you with! Please remember to check back for updates and training specials! Hope to see you soon at the FIT FACTORY!
